About Osaka Saints™
After more than 30 years shaping international brands as a Creative Director, Art Director, and Designer, I set out in 2020—amidst the uncertainty of Covid—to create something truly my own: Osaka Saints.
The name itself was born from a fascination with words and the stories they inspire. “Osaka Saints” struck me instantly. I loved the way the words looked together, the sound they made, and the creative energy they sparked in my mind. What began as an exploration of visual ideas soon evolved into a brand rooted in storytelling and design.
My approach has always been visual first. I’m not a writer—I’m a visualist. For me, branding is about building a story you can see and feel, not just read. Words ignite the creative process, but it’s the imagery and ethos that define a brand’s soul. With Osaka Saints, I imagined a fictional subculture—a gritty, rebellious community reminiscent of a 1960s Japanese motorcycle gang, inspired by films like “The Wild One” and “Rebel Without a Cause.” These stories fueled the spirit and attitude behind the brand.
Every element of Osaka Saints is crafted to fit this ethos. I develop the brand’s story, hand-draw graphics, and direct every visual detail—sometimes using AI as I would a photographer or illustrator, blending technology with traditional design. My toolkit includes Photoshop, Illustrator, vintage photos, old movie clips, AI animation, and original photography—whether shot on my iPhone, Leica Q2, or with the help of professional collaborators.
Osaka Saints is more than a brand; it’s a visual narrative—a fusion of imagination, rebellion, and artistry, brought to life through every image and design.
